Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo 1986.
Fresh off of his 1985 victory on the RAC rally the rising star of rallying, Henri Toivonen, again showcased to the world his pure speed and driving talent on the hills high above Monaco. Despite a head on collision with a spectator’s car in-between stages Toivonen still drove the damaged and ill handling Delta S4 to victory. As if trying to pilot a 550bhp Group B monster on tarmac, snow and ice wasn’t hard enough already. This really was a heroic and brave drive by the gifted young Finn, its no wonder many of his peers still class him as one of the greatest ever.
