Sanremo ’89

£55.00

For the 1989 Rallye Sanremo – Rallye d’italia Lancia debuted their new 16v iteration of the already dominant Delta Integrale along with a new, and now iconic, ‘Martini Rosso’ livery. After a tough rally, covering a mix of tarmac and gravel stages, Miki Biasion and Tiziano Siviero emerged victorious and with it secured the 1989 World Drivers Championship.

The win really cemented Biasion’s place as a true rally legend and national hero – an Italian winning his home event and second world championship, with an Italian team and Italian car must have been a very special moment.

Here Biasion and Siviero slice through a right hander high up in the mountains above Sanremo, the Deltas clever diffs working overtime to claw every ounce of traction from its tires, firing the small red rocket out of the apex and onto the next.
