Flamboyant Frenchman Francois Delecour hurls the works Ford Escort Cosworth around one of the many hairpins on the 1993 Tour de Course Rally. Delecour immediately gelled with the nimble new Escort taking it to three rally wins, including here in Corsica, and second in the championship in its debut year.
Francois was and always will be a firm fan favourite, always wearing his heart on his sleeve and fully committed behind the wheel of whatever car he was driving. In an era full of immense driving talent, he certainly left his mark and had the speed to beat the very best.
