The Kremer Porsche 935 K3 hammers through the night on its way to a stunning outright victory at the 1979 Le Mans 24 Hours. Driven by professional racing driver Klaus Ludwig and gentleman drivers Don and Bill Whittington the number 41 car stayed out of trouble and won the battle of attrition at this particularly wet and gruelling event.
The car’s American drivers (and eventual owners) Don and Bill Whittington are hot hugely well known within motorsport folklore however their story most certainly should be. To say the brothers lived an eventful life would be an understatement. If you don’t know their story already then I’d suggest you give them a quick Goggle, these guys certainly played by their own rules and were definitely the original Porsche Urban Outlaws.
