The factory Porsche 911 SC 3.0 of Vic Preston Jr and John Lyall drifts through the dirt and dust of the 1978 Safari Rally. The no.14 car would eventually finish second after almost 9 hours of flat out driving on the roughest roads, in the toughest conditions. The safari rally of ’78 is still regarded as one of the hardest ever due to the unseasonably wet weather and the huge distances that were covered. A true test of man and machine if ever there was one.
